Hi, I'm Kristi!

I am a mama of two beautiful kiddos and love spending time with my friends and with my family. I also enjoy walking our dogs with my hubby, cuddling with our kitty, and look forward to traveling with my family across America in our travel trailer. Nature and road tripping are my Zen! I am a dreamer, a life-long learner, and am hopelessly optimistic. I am grateful for the blessings in my life and try to find the humor in things. Oh, and I love sushi!

How did I become a Yoga Instructor, Massage Therapist, and a Nationally Board Certified Health & Wellness Coach?

Before starting my private practice in 2001, I was working in corporate America for a mutual fund company for about 5 years. During this time, I became very sick and was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease that led to a painful and scary journey trying to manage my disease through Western and Eastern medicines. I discovered yoga and massage during this time, which helped me become more body aware and found some relief coping with the pain. My yoga practice centered on healing my body and spirit.

Unfortunately, my Crohn’s disease progressed which led to multiple surgeries and I found myself asking “Why me? What is the meaning behind my suffering? What is my purpose?”

My own health journey deepened my empathy towards others who are suffering and struggling in their own lives. It has become my mission and I am compassionate to help others find relief and to support them to solve their own problems.

During this time, I made a career change becoming a certified yoga instructor and a licensed massage therapist.

I am glad to say that after getting pregnant with my daughter, my body slowed the attack and started nurturing a baby.

My personal health journey still continues today as I age into my midlife.

In my mid 40’s, I started experiencing hormonal and physical changes and became more self aware of my aging appearance.

And, I started questioning “Have I accomplished everything that I want out of life? What are my priorities? Am I living my life to the fullest surrounded by positive people? How can I help others during this transition in their lives?”

Then, Covid hit and gave me pause in my professional and personal life. That’s when I studied to become a certified health & well-being coach. This is just one more way I can help others manage the many changes during the second half of their life and reconnect and realign with their true self feeling more energized, more focused, and more joyful working towards living their best life.

Founded Blue Skies Therapy in 2001.
